Fall Tree

A few weeks ago I was at Porter's (our local craft store) and they had all of their Fall decorations up. They had the cutest display of a small pine tree with twinkle lights and these great little wicker pumpkins. I remembered that we had bought a mini Christmas tree last year and decided to try my hand at making my own Fall Tree!

Upholstered Headboard

My friend Stephanie and I made these upholstered headboard together. It was a really simple process and I LOVE how it turned out! We more or less used this tutorial except instead of foam (which would have cost $100+ !!) we used a couple layers of the egg carton style mattress topper (the smooth side out). Even though we used the same process our headboards look so different! Here is my version, and you can see photos of how Steph's turned out here.

Mod Podge Stool

This little stool was a $2 D.I. find in major need of some TLC!

I started by sanding it and spray painting the entire thing baby blue. After it dried I mod podged a cute piece of scrapbook paper to the top and mod podged a ribbon around the border! I really love how it turned out! The day after I finished this project one of the legs on my nightstand broke and so this little stool is currently filling its place until I can find a new one!
