I found this lovely clown painting at DI (a local thrift store) for $10.
In my opinion I paid WAY too much! But I really liked the details on the frame!

I sanded off the gold paint and gave it a nice coat of dark brown paint...

I then
wrapped the clown in this fabric I found to match our living room curtains...
and don't mind the fact that the frame was coming apart at the corner there! I fixed it!
Originally I finished it off by hanging a metal star wreath in the middle by a ribbon, but it wasn't sitting well with me, so I opted for this instead...

After garnishing it with a few fun Hobby Lobby
accessories, I think it turned out pretty cute!
